It now has its premiere in the Czech Republic in Brno. The exhibition started its journey through Europe in 2010 in the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome and continued to Madrid, Brussels, Halmstadt, Hamburg, London, Karlsruhe and Stavanger. The artworks are provocative, radical, poetic and ironic. On the basis of the new media such as photography, video and film as well as performance and action art, female artists use their bodies as projection screens for the social code and ask questions regarding self-determination and female identity. Female artists have been disclosing, especially in the last decade, the patriarchal notions of how women are supposed to live, as a social construct.
